Heather Mock

With 20 years of progressive leadership experience in school finance, Heather Mock serves as Deputy Superintendent of Fiscal and Business Services for the Deer Valley Unified School District, a large suburban district in the northwest Phoenix metropolitan area. She oversees budget and finance, purchasing and warehouse operations, print services, food and nutrition, facilities, and information services and technology. Heather previously served on the Valley Schools Insurance Trust board for DVUSD before the organization’s restructuring and later participated on the liability insurance committee.

Throughout her career, Ms. Mock has managed multi-million dollar budgets, led diverse operational teams, and influenced education policy through legislative engagement. A recognized leader in continuous improvement, Heather has also served as a school district consultant, director of finance, internal auditor, and president of the Arizona School Computer Users Support organization.
